I live in Miami, it was only a matter of time before I myself experience road rage. Last time I checked Miami was one of the top 5 places that has a lot of road rage. I was at the Publix on Miller, at the red light to make a right hand turn (towards 92 ave). Even though, legally I can make a right turn on red, I just never had the chance to! It's Sunday evening, and there were a lot of cars, with no opening for me. So I decided to wait patiently, turned on the radio my sister and I were laughing about something that I can not remember. Suddenly I hear a car honking behind me, at first I ignored it, not thinking it was for me. Boy, was I wrong! It was for me! I looked at him in the side mirror, from the look of him he was getting upset and smacking his steering wheel. Confused, I looked towards the oncoming cars to see if he was seeing something I could not, but there was no pause to the cars or opening. Not to mention there was no way he could see how many cars were oncoming because there were a lot of cars in the row next to me, he was in a POS mercedes. The guy behind me continued to sit on his horn and this time I ignored him, I was almost tempted to put the car in park and the hazards on. But I controlled myself! When the light finally turned green, I quickly pulled out into the outer lane and then merged into the lane to make a left turn into the McDonalds parking lot. I need to pull over, I would be lying if I didn't say I wasn't scared shitless that he was going to come after me. I wasn't wrong it seems, out of the corner of my eye I saw his car coming up on my right very quickly, he almost crashed into the car next to me in order to cut me off. Once he was in front of me, he put his car in park, so that I was stuck! I was scared, but my sister just giggled wildly, in such a situation I did the only thing I could think of, I called my mother. While I was talking to my mom, I pretended to get his plate number. Though I did get it, my mother is a friend with a cop, all I know is that I could file a harassment, which I will. Once he saw that I was on the phone and getting his number, he got upset that 1. I wasn't upset and honking 2. I was getting his plate number. After a few moments he pulled out and drove away when he was able to. Once he was gone, as soon as I safely could I pulled into the McDonald's parking lot, I parked quickly. I just sat there for a few moments, processing everything. I felt so hurt and ... I just had this huge urge to chase him down and go, "What did you get out of that?" I mean it's not like I did all that on purpose just to bother him! I truly couldn't pull out and I wanted to chase him down to correct his assumption. But it would have been pointless, I am almost tempted to post his plate number on here so others can be on the look out. Ugh, after that I was scared of every guy that was pulled up behind me! Silly I know, but I truly was majorly hurt and annoyed that someone would think badly of me, and without even knowing me! Oh, well! What is done is done! Current Mood: annoyed

Today at my mother's work they found a bunch of kittens. At least 4 of them, they suspect there are another 5, so in total 9 kittens. They weren't able to catch the mama cat. My mom called me during work, asking if we should get one. To be quite honest, yes I wanted one desperately, and I knew my sister wanted one too. She's been harping that for quite some time. So, I said yes, my mom described them all to me, and I told her to pick the gray one, from her description it sounded interesting. My mom brought it home, after Pizza Hut with my grandparents, my mom had left it in the car. When we got in after wards, ... well let us just say, it was extremely funny and the kitten is adorable. After finding out she is a female we starting throwing names around, thought about Hecate but we weren't sure. After a few days, I am sure it will come to us. Current Mood: amused

My grandmother's brother, Miguel has been diagnosed with lung cancer for over a good many years. So far he was doing good, but then he couldn't stop vomiting and was admitted into the hospital. From there it went down hill, only thing keeping him going is the sheer fact that he is a very cheerful person. Always smiling and never letting anything getting him down. Even when he couldn't talk because of a tube in his throat he was still grinning like from ear to ear. Today is the day of the Rosary. Since he was admitted, only about a month or so ago when we did a, well I have only heard it refer to as a prayer chain, but what it is that someone is always praying, everyone takes a turn praying. For example person A will pray from 9 am till 10 am or longer if possible. But they did this for two or three days straight and he got a lot better. People say the power of prayer heals, I guess in this case it did because they sent him home much improved. So today, everyone went to his house to pray. My whole side of the family, Miguel, his wife, and their son Carlos-Miguel, not to mention my grandmother's other brother and his wife. I guess their children respectfully could not come. So at 8 P.M. (eastern standard time) we prayed, well they prayed the rosary. I did my own kind prayers. But I am curious to what everyone thinks about this. This is a man whom doctors thought was going to die if not the evening they brought him in then the next day. He survived beyond doctor's expectations and improving daily, and all mostly because he kept a grin on his face. He spoke when there was no way he could because of a tube down his throat...
